Google has released the Google News Alerts beta, an automatic news alert system that notifies subscribers via email about the latest Google News listings related to a specified subject. Google News Alerts is available on Google Labs at: www.google.com/newsalerts.  To sign up for the service, users visit the Google News Alerts site, specify their keywords, a preferred frequency of -mail notifications, and enter their email address. Email alerts are delivered in either a daily digest format, or continuously as stories are found via Google's Google News service.
