GEX, Inc. Implements XyEnterprise's XML Professional Publisher

XyEnterprise, a developer of XML content management and enterprise publishing software, has announced that GEX, Incorporated (GEX), a service provider for commercial publishers of textbooks, journals, and reference materials, has implemented XyEnterprise's XML Professional Publisher (XPP) to automate its publishing operations. GEX has deployed XPP to publish XML content for a variety of textbooks and other materials. The system is designed to receive native XML, perform complex formatting tasks automatically, and provide high-speed, high-quality output. Through the standards-based XPP Web Services interface, GEX customers can proof, modify, and publish their documents in a browser from virtually any location. GEX, Incorporated (GEX) provides a range of publishing services, including design illustration, book composition, digital offset printing, and XML and Internet development.

XML Professional Publisher (XPP) is a standards-based composition, transformation, and rendering software for complex and automated publishing in the technical documentation, commercial, legal, journal, financial, and pharmaceutical publishing markets. XPP batch and interactive interfaces are unique to the XML publishing space and enable corporations to process and transform XML and other structured content into high quality PDF and print output.
