G-SAM, the Global Society for Asset Management, has announced several initiatives and additions to its Web site as well as the formation of new local chapters. These initiatives consist of an elibrary featuring white papers and case studies on asset and content management, storage, and security. In an effort to deliver increased value to its members, the elibrary will be the ultimate source for all Digital Asset Management information.
The most recent resource document is a case study from CAP Ventures Inc., a strategic consulting firm for providers and users of business communication technologies and services and is entitled "Multi-channel Brand Management: The View from the Hallmark Channel." Also available of G-SAM's site is a dynamic industry news ticker; using intelligent agents to spider the web for Digital Asset Management news which, when found, are immediately published. Additionally, a members-only section is devoted to the 150 member companies. Members of G-SAM have discount privileges for purchasing all documents, including analyst reports from elibrary launch partner, Multimedia Research Group Inc. (MRG). Other key features of the G-SAM e-library are: a business intelligence service that culls international wires and other data sources for digital media coverage; localized information from the global, regional, and local chapter sites; and an advanced database. G-SAM members can also watch G-SAM '03 conference sessions and keynotes from the Web site via streaming video.
G-SAM has also announced the formation of new local chapters in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Detroit, Chicago, Washington, DC, Atlanta, Denver, London, and Sydney. The purpose of the new local chapters is to identify, aggregate, validate, and proliferate members' successful asset management processes for the betterment of corporate workflows and business practices of various industries.
