Freckle Partners with AirKast

Freckle, a beacon-based mobile attribution company, announced a partnership with AirKast, a mobile platform companies for publishers and media companies in North America. A cloudbased mobile platform provider supporting iOS, Android, and Amazon Kindle, AirKast clients include Cumulus Media, ESPN, Radio One, CBS News Radio and Fox News Radio. The partnership with Freckle enables AirKast's clients to participate in pioneering beacon initiatives, which include attribution, analytics, messaging, retargeting, and insights.

AirKast says it saw the emergence of beacons as a critical advertising and data opportunity that could provide its clients with the chance to participate in beacon campaigns that would expose them to new, unique, and verifiable customers. With the Freckle SDK (Software Development Kit) in AirKast's numerous applications, AirKast's clients can now benefit from Freckle's thousands of beacons placed in stores and entertainment venues. These beacons will verify that individuals that have visited specific locations - an attribution tactic not available through location targeting found in realtime buying (RTB) - and retarget them with more contextually relevant advertising.
