FluentMedia Brings Weather to Corporate Market with MyWeather

FluentMedia, a content-licensing agency of Tribune Company, has entered into an agreement with MyWeather LLC to provide custom weather solutions to FluentMedia's corporate clients. Madison, Wisconsin-based MyWeather will provide FluentMedia's customers with a range of weather solutions including the company's Targeted MicroCast product. Targeted MicroCast provides forecasts for specific locations with hour-by-hour forecast information.

Additionally, MyWeather's E-Weather service provides a five-day forecast, searchable city/state weather conditions, and regularly updated, quality controlled radar and satellite images. The service also filters and delivers current conditions from over 1,200 reporting stations maintained by the U.S. National Weather Service. Available information includes temperatures, precipitation, dew point, wind-chill/heat index, humidity, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, and visibility.

MyWeather is a supplier of privately branded weather data, services, and applications for B2B and B2C Internet sites and other electronic delivery networks. MyWeather is a sister company of Weather Central, a provider of weather products to the broadcast and newspaper industries. Earlier this year, MyWeather acquired the WeatherPoint business operated by FluentMedia's parent company, Tribune Media Services.  WeatherPoint, which provided Web-based weather data, graphics, and imagery to newspapers and other clients, has been integrated into MyWeather.
