BEST PRACTICES SERIES

Facebook has given in to the RIAA’s demands that the Project Playlist application be removed for copyright violation. MySpace already shut down Project Playlist’s widgets and banned the service from the site. The RIAA sued Project Playlist in April and has been able to increase its funding since then. Warner Music Group, Universal Music, and EMI are suing Project Playlist with the RIAA. Sony is a Playlist partner now, and all four are part of the MySpace Music JV.
