Get ready for another wave of complaints from Facebook users upset about the latest changes to their news feeds. At 10 a.m. PT, Facebook is holding an event, the invitation to which says, "Come see a new look for News Feed."
TechCrunch says that users may have new ways to filter the content:
"...Facebook plans to launch new ways to filter the news feed. These include a Photos feed of Facebook and Instagram photos, as well as a revamped Music feed of what friends are listening to, concerts, and new albums, according to multiple sources both within and close to Facebook. Larger images and image-based ads in the web and mobile feeds are coming too."
Yesterday, Google+ got a head start on its social media rival with a profile overhaul of its own. Larger cover photos and a new local reviews tab are the start of what Google product manager Sara McKinley explained on her own Google+ page is the beginning of a series of change prompted by user-feedback.
