Jan 15, 2010

Social networking giant Facebook announced the introduction of a program to aid graduate students through a series of academic fellowships in specific fields. The Facebook Fellowship program will be available to graduate students on a Ph.D. track in the fields of computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, system architecture, and related fields of study.

Focusing on such topics as internet economics, cloud computing, and data mining, the fellowship will cover academic costs for the year and provide a $30,000 stipend, plus opportunities for travel cost and conference reimbursements. The fellowship also gives students the opportunity to apply for a paid internship with the company.
