Facebook Introduces Riff App for Collaborative Video

Facebook's network of apps just keeps growing. This time it is introducing Riff, which allows friends to collaborate on short videos. Here's how it works: You log into Riff using your Facebook account, enter a hashtag subject, and record a video that is up to 20 seconds long. You can then post it to your Facebook page where your friends can pick up the thread and add their own video. Then their friends can chime in and so on. There is currently no limit to how long these conversations can get.

Riff is the latest app to come out of Facebook's Creative Labs, which allows employees to develop products that are outside of the main Facebook experience. One has to wonder, though, what happens when a video chain you started goes completely off the rails. If someone adds offensive content, what happens?
