Oct 27, 2006

Exclaim, a branded platform provider of wireless and web applications, has launched Pictavision 6.0, a photo-sharing application for mobile phones. Pictavision 6.0 instantly converts any BREW-, Java-, and SYMBIAN-powered camera phone from major carriers in the U.S. and internationally into a photo and video upload, download, and messaging tool that automatically distributes images to major digital media websites, including photo sharing services, blogs, photoblogs, and websites. Pictavision 6.0 will debut in November on major wireless carriers in the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean, followed by a December rollout in Europe, Central America, and South America.

Pictavision 6.0's advanced features include: Multi-portal and wireless capabilities; text and voice tagging functionality; an automatic account creation feature; the background upload of photos and videos reduces the time waiting for high-resolution digital content to transmit on wireless networks; a subscription-based model that starts at $3.99; multi-lingual support includes English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese; embedded advertising and marketing promotional engines for carriers; fully integrated MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service); and compatibility on BREW, Java, and SYMBIAN platforms.
