Esmerk Announces Content Expansion

Esmerk, a unit of SanomaWSOY of Finland, has announced an expansion of its global content by adding local sources from 20 countries, primarily in the Middle East. Taking the total number of countries covered by Esmerk's current awareness service to 127, sources are added from Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Other markets covered for the first time are Cambodia, Cyprus, Iceland, Laos, Malta, and the Ukraine. The additional Middle Eastern coverage is to be available to Esmerk clients from the beginning of February.

  

Esmerk provides global current awareness solutions to corporations based on individually tailored daily reports consisting of English-language abstracts from newspapers, trade magazines, press releases, and Web sources. SanomaWSOY is a media group in the Nordic region, with operations in 15 European countries. The group is comprised of five divisions: Sanoma Magazines (magazine publishing and press distribution); Sanoma (publishing and printing newspapers); WSOY (publishing, printing and calendar operations); SWelcom (electronic media); and  Rautakirja (kiosk operations, press distribution, bookstores, movie theatre operations and restaurant operations).
