Enigma 3C Version 8 Release 2 capitalizes on the J2EE architecture introduced in the original V8 Platform, further embracing the open standards and open source community and lowering the total cost of ownership for customers. In addition, the latest release is designed to provide customers with more options for tailoring their implementations to meet individual content delivery workflows and/or enterprise integration requirements.
Designed for companies that manufacture, service and/or operate complex equipment that requires ongoing maintenance and repair, the Enigma 3C Platform was developed to provide a comprehensive product encyclopedia of service information to workers. Enigma combines parts and maintenance information from multiple data systems and dynamically delivers a support resource for a specific product or an individual piece of equipment. The Enigma 3C Platform ties into diagnostics, inventory, and parts ordering systems. Collaboration functionality allows service organizations to capture the internal knowledge of their users by enabling them to add, update, and share best practices and product feedback alongside the referenced content.
A new SDK within V8R2 is intended to help system integrators and internal IT organizations build and deploy online and offline service and support applications, which can be dynamically and continuously updated with new content. In addition, Release 2 includes support for Linux and IBM WebSphere Application Server Version 5, improving backup server clustering and the dynamic workload management of Enigma 3C applications. V8R2 also features advanced access control and print-on-demand capabilities.
