Elsevier Engineering Information has announced the latest release of the ChemVillage discovery platform designed to enhance access to chemistry content. With focus on applied chemistry research, ChemVillage offers access to text-based resources including bibliographic databases Beilstein Abstracts and Chimica, and Chemical Business NewsBase, a business news source covering the global chemicals industry.

This latest release is intended to enhance the research process through significant upgrades to the platform's underlying technology. The FAST search engine has been implemented to deliver standard bearing search and retrieval speeds. Functional enhancements include multiple database searching with user controlled de-duplication, personalized searches, and full-text linking options.
