Engadget announced the release of a free technology news e-magazine, called Distro, which will be available first on the iPad, and then rolled out to other major tablet platforms. According to a blog post by editor Tim Stevens, the magazine will feature weekly long-form content and reviews from Engadget's editors, and is designed to give readers a simple, single-stop for the week's tech industry developments.
Engadget is AOL's well-known gadget and tech blog. While many blogs seem to be changing their focus to optimize for website distribution, Engadget is sticking to the magazine format, but leveraging the tablet as a reading platform. The post insists the release date for the iPad version of Distro will be "super soon!" but no date has been named as of yet.
