Emerald Announces Emerald Management Xtra

Jul 09, 2004

Emerald Group Publishing Limited has launched the beta version of its new Emerald Management Xtra. A collection of peer reviewed management journals and provider of online support, Emerald Management Xtra was created to meet the specific needs of educators, students, researchers, librarians, and deans working in the business management academic community.

Emerald Management Xtra combines core content from more than 100 select Emerald journals with practical working tools and resources. Building on the success of the Emerald Fulltext and Emerald Management Reviews databases, integrated resources include Conference Central, Research Register, the EMX Library Resource, Teaching Tips, and numerous book reviews, case studies, and interviews. The Emerald Literati Club has been integrated as well.

Developed in consultation with the worldwide academic management community, Emerald Management Xtra aims to ease all facets of professional life in business schools and management departments. All content is selected through a rigorous peer-review system, and held to Emerald standards for quality and relevance.

Emerald Management Xtra features integrated search and navigation function that covers Emerald Fulltext and Emerald Management Reviews, as well as value-added resources for teaching, research, publishing, and library resource management. In addition, librarians will find access to primary content from Emerald journals being offered at a substantial discount compared with purchasing access to journals and abstracts separately.

Emerald is offering free trials of the beta version of Emerald Management Xtra at www.emeraldinsight.com/emx . Librarians and academic researchers are invited to test drive and to review the product for industry publications. Because the library is at the heart of the university environment, Emerald seeks the input of practicing librarians in all phases of product development. Emerald Management Xtra will be fully launched at Online Information, November 30 - December 2, 2004 in London, UK.
