Elsevier Selects RapidRights from Cadmus ArticleWorks for DRM

Cadmus Communications Corporation has announced that Elsevier, a publisher of scientific, technical, and medical information, has signed a multi-year agreement to use RapidRights from Cadmus ArticleWorks for its digital rights management (DRM) system to deliver electronic article reprints. Elsevier will use the RapidRights component of Cadmus ArticleWorks to deliver secure PDF files to customers (primarily pharmaceutical and equipment firms) who purchase permissions to electronically distribute journal articles to their sales force or prospects. The agreement covers Elsevier health science journals. Elsevier publishes over 1,800 journals including  The Lancet, the American Journal of Cardiology , and the  Journal of the American College of Cardiology .
