Eleven North American Institutions Join Ex Libris' Early Adopter Program for Alma

Dec 12, 2011

Ex Libris Ltd. launched the North American early adopter program for the Alma library management service, and has added 11 North American institutions to its roster. The program designates Alma to manage each member institution's full range of library operations, preceding Alma's general release in 2012.

To date, over 60 institutions across three continents have reportedly committed to Alma through various collaborative and early adopter programs, including its four development partners: Princeton University Library, Boston College, Purdue University Library, and K.U. Leuven, which includes the LIBIS library network.

Almost all of the early adopters have also reportedly decided to implement Ex Libris' Primo solution. Primo is designed to enhance users' discovery experience in advance of realigning their current library systems with Alma.
