Ektron Inc., a provider of web content management software, and VML, the digital marketing agency, announced that they have established an integration between Ektron’s CMS400.NET content management solution and Microsoft’s Silverlight. Silverlight is Microsoft's new cross-browser plug-in for delivering web experiences to end-users, including video and animation. VML has produced a number of public Silverlight-based applications for Microsoft, including the first all Silverlight site, HelloSecureWorld. Ektron CMS400.NET enables organizations to rapidly create, deploy, and manage the content on their sites. Features include taxonomy, an open API, interactive RIAs, and advanced XML Smart Form technology. The integration was written to support both Silverlight 1.0 and the 2.0 beta, thus allowing the solution to be deployed today as well as into the future, when 2.0 is released from beta.
