EOS International has announced the sale of new EOS e-Library Service licenses to Phillips Graduate Institute, Chicago Mercantile, Institute of Government Affairs - UC Davis, Lawrence Family Jewish Community Center, Technical Career Institute, Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital Library, Georgia State Law Library, Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur LLP, Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP, and Goulston & Storrs.
With every EOS e-Library Service installation, proprietary library data (user records, catalog, vendor, serial information, etc.) is loaded onto EOS-owned and operated database servers. Even though library data resides on EOS servers, the data remains the property of the library. Library data can be obtained and accessed by service members at any point in time via data exports or data dumps, optional FTP database downloads, or MARC extracts. EOS also performs daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly back-ups for EOS e-Library Service members' libraries. EOS library automation software products (EOS.Web, EOS Q-Series, EOS GLAS, and hosted, EOS e-Library Services) are designed to serve the knowledge and content management needs of corporate, legal, medical, government, and special libraries.
