EBSCO has announced that preprint articles are accessible via EBSCOhost Electronic Journals Service (EJS), a tool for streamlining the administrative work associated with the management and access of electronic journals.

With the addition of preprint articles--advance copies of articles to appear in an upcoming issue of a journal--EJS can enable the library to provide its end users with access to the most recent electronic content prior to its release in print format. End users can access the preprint articles from within EJS; when browsing issues through EJS' standard elinking technology, links to preprint articles will automatically populate when available for the journals the library has under subscription.

Library administrators can utilize the administrative functions within EJS, such as the Local Notes feature, to alert their patrons to available preprints.
