EBSCO Publishing released two new databases focusing on the underwater environment: Fish, Fisheries & Aquatic Biodiversity Worldwide (FFAB) and Waters & Oceans Worldwide (WOW).

FFAB contains material on ichthyology, fisheries, underwater ecology and biology, and aquaculture. The information in FFAB comes from two former NISC, Inc., collections purchased by EBSCO in 2008, along with 19 other databases.

WOW contains 1.85 million records on freshwater and marine environments, including pollution and water treatment data, dating to the 1970s.
