Nov 11, 2010

An agreement between EBSCO Publishing and ingentaconnect is expanding the resources discoverable through EBSCO Discovery Service by incorporating selected scholarly journals from ingentaconnect to be indexed in EDS-EBSCO's discovery service.

Resources from ingentaconnect to be added to the EDS Base Index include more than 5,200 scholarly academic journals from over 200 publishers. Other content partners who are taking part in EDS include the British Library, Baker & Taylor, NewsBank, Readex, LexisNexis, and Alexander Street Press.

EBSCO Discovery Service creates a unified, customized index of an institution's information resources and an easy means of accessing all content from a single search box. The EDS Base Index is comprised of metadata from the world's foremost information providers. At present, the EDS Base Index represents content from approximately 20,000 providers in addition to metadata from another 70,000 book publishers.
