The European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) approved four educational courses from CMEcast, a service launched by Informa Healthcare, as EBAC Accredited Educational Programmes. Informa Healthcare is reportedly the first publisher to receive EBAC accreditation for online continuing medical education (CME) courses. The first four courses to be approved are available to site registrants for free for an introductory period.

Directed by Dr. Dimitri P. Mikhailidis of the Royal Free Hospital in London, CMEcast is an audio podcast program designed to allow physicians to take advantage of CME. MP3 podcasts allow flexible listening and learning to fit the schedules of healthcare professionals.

EBAC represents more than 70,000 cardiology professionals throughout Europe.
