The Drupal Association and community announced the general availability of Drupal 7, the not-for-profit organization's latest web content management platform. Drupal is an open source content management platform already in use by millions of sites, such as WhiteHouse.gov and Warner Media Group. Drupal 7 includes a variety of user experience improvements and is already in use by sites such as Examiner.com.

This latest version includes new features such as a field API, pluggable storage and cache, an automated test environment, an upgrade manager, support for databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PostgrSQL, and a variety of UX enhancements. Like previous versions, the platform also supports accessibility and multi-language support.
