Digg has announced the addition of several new features, changes to the site interface/design, and the addition of a new content area--Digg Podcasts (launching in beta). Changes to the interface include: a move from a fixed-width layout to a flexible layout allowing users to make use of screen real-estate on larger monitors. Navigation has also been moved to the top allowing users to switch between sections; Top 10 Stories/Videos; Top 10 hottest videos, and on-Digg video previews where users can click any video with a play icon to get a lightbox window in which users can preview and Digg the video without leaving the site; users can Digg their favorite podcast series and individual podcast episodes; the ability for users to jump between their Dugg News, Videos, or Podcasts. With three separate sections, Digg can enable users to sort through their own Diggs and their friends' Diggs. New features for the Digg Podcast content area include: the ability for users to find a podcast; add new podcasts; see the most popular podcasts; listen to/watch podcasts; Digg podcasts and episodes; Discuss podcasts and episodes; and track your friends' Diggs.
