Dialog Showcases DialogLink 4.0

Dialog, a Thomson business and provider of online-based information services and integrated information solutions, has announced that it will highlight its new DialogLink 4.0 software package at the Special Libraries Association (SLA) in Nashville June 5-10, 2004.

The company also will highlight a range of services introduced in recent months, including new versions of its Dialog NewsRoom and Dialog Profound services and announce the North American winners of its annual InfoStar Awards and Roger K. Summit Scholarship. InfoStar Awards are given to information professionals whose creativity and innovation are inspirational to others, and the Roger K. Summit Scholarship is the company's scholarship program for graduate students in library and information sciences. Roger K. Summit was the company's founder and currently serves as its chairman emeritus.

New and improved services to be showcased by Dialog include: DialogLink 4.0, the latest version of the software package used by professional researchers to access Dialog, which now offers automated report templates, XML delivery, and Dialog eLinks, providing access to electronic journals and search functionality. New Technology Platform, which enables Dialog to offer bundled business information, news, and market research content drawn from different services and now accessible through a new, shared interface. Dialog NewsRoom, an online database that aggregates news reports from around the world with editorial materials continuously added from sources, including newspapers, newswires, specialty newsletters, trade media, and scholarly journals. A new version of Dialog NewsRoom was released earlier this year on the new platform. Dialog Profound, a source of market research, with a continuously updated collection of more market research reports contributed by research firms covering different industries and companies worldwide. A new version of Dialog Profound also was recently introduced on the new platform. Dialog NewsEdge, the industry-specific, personalized current awareness and news alerting service for corporations, which has been enhanced with options for live, real-time alerting features.
