Deviant Technologies Announces Availability of InterIM

Jul 29, 2003

Deviant Technologies, Inc., a developer of enterprise server appliances, announced it will begin marketing InterIM, its new server appliance, designed to provide employers with a secure, archivable, instant messaging alternative to software-based solutions. The InterIM appliance has been in beta testing at selected companies in the Northeast and Midwest since June.

Two InterIM models are being offered. The entry level InterIM Professional is designed for small businesses and supports up to 300 IM users. The rack mountable InterIM Enterprise is geared towards larger companies and supports 1000 users. Both units provide 512 bit message encryption. Messages and presence can be archived and searched either manually or through the use of configurable filters. Built in reporting features provide administrators with information about company-wide IM usage in either text or graphic formats.
