Aug 11, 2011

Content creator and publisher Demand Media announced the acquisition of the Indieclick ad network, which serves ads to a wide variety of independent and alternative blogs. The company will also be extending its ad-serving deal with Google, which it hopes to use to boost its ad revenue and inventory.

Demand Media, which launched an IPO in January, is a content network that runs a variety of sites such as Cracked and eHow. The company was founded in 2006 by former Myspace chairman Richard Rosenblatt.
