Darwin Ecosystem, developer of the Darwin Awareness Engine news and content aggregator, is releasing its General News edition to demonstrate the capabilities of the Darwin Awareness Engine. The service is being provided at no cost, following a brief registration process.
The General News Edition focuses on a variety of initial themes, including general news, social media on the web, social media in the enterprise, US immigration discussion, and oil and gas industry news. The target content for the edition includes almost 500 sources, including traditional news sites such as the CNN, CBS News, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and NPR. It also includes a number of French language sites such as Le Monde and Le Figaro.
The Darwin Awareness Engine fetches and correlates a wide variety of Web 2.0 information sources to provide companies with a timely awareness about enterprise and internet activity. It can be configured and customized in various ways, including taxonomical definitions.
