CrownPeak Technology, a provider of hosted content management systems, and Lionbridge, have entered into an alliance to deliver a comprehensive multilingual content management solution for joint customers such as Klein Bicycle, a unit of Trek. The alliance is expected to allow CrownPeak and Lionbridge clients to outsource the full cycle of multilingual content management and publishing. An open system, CrownPeak's Advantage CMS will connect to LionStream, the Lionbridge technology platform. Lionbridge will integrate its technology and services to provide a solution for creating, editing, localizing, and publishing disparate content throughout a global enterprise, in multiple languages.
In the first implementation under the alliance, CrownPeak has provided a content management system for the Klein Bikes unit of Trek Bicycle Corp. Klein Bikes deployed Advantage CMS to consolidate its Web site management process and implement a multilingual workflow system. Lionbridge will connect its technology and services with the Advantage CMS, enabling the Klein Bikes site to be developed, managed, and maintained in six languages--English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese.
CrownPeak's Advantage CMS offers customizable workflow for translation processes, a notification system, and a team-based task management system for use with mixed internal and external teams. New features include advanced translation workflow options and improved translation process reporting. Advantage CMS also features a Model function, which enables site administrators to add new language "layers" to a site, and create structure and linking automatically. CrownPeak's Unicode-compatible system also sets a timeline to manage actions, issuing notifications when actions do, or do not, occur. The system sets automatic notifications for the translators on changes to any content element.
