BEST PRACTICES SERIES

AskMe Corporation, a provider of enterprise software and services for deploying employee knowledge networks (EKNs), has announced that Creo Inc. a supplier of prepress systems for the graphic arts industry, has deployed AskMe Enterprise to support its product development organization. The company is implementing AskMe's knowledge sharing technology to facilitate employee-to-employee collaboration and increase the exchange of information to help drive organizational productivity. Creo offers digital solutions such as image capture systems, thermal imaging devices, professional color and copydot scanning systems, and workflow management software. Creo implemented the AskMe Enterprise network in an effort to save time managing customer service inquiries. Using AskMe Enterprise, Creo's product development organization for the Prinergy workflow management system intends to be able to locate the right experts and receive accurate and timely insight, knowledge, and information to help resolve customer inquiries. AskMe Enterprise facilitates collaboration between employees and captures all exchanges, helping the workforce to make faster and more informed decisions, avoid redundancy, and reduce project cycle times. EKNs are designed to help large organizations reduce the "knowledge erosion" that occurs when employees retire, the company restructures, or when internal teams split and transition to new tasks after completing a project.
