CoreMedia, a provider of Smart Content Technology, has launched version 4.2 of its Smart Content Technology and announced two client additions. The latest version of its Smart Content Technology has been optimized for the demands of process-oriented workflows. New functionalities and enhancements include preview-based editing, barrier freedom according to the requirements of the German government initiative BundOnline 2005, as well as a high integration level for Microsoft Office and .NET applications. In addition, when developing the new version 4.2, the focus was on the further expansion of user friendliness, with the objective of shortening training and introduction times.
CoreMedia has also announced that it will implement a content management system (CMS) for T-Online International and has signed a five-year contract with GMX, a German communications service provider.
T-Online International chose CoreMedia in an effort to enable multi-channel delivery for ITV and UMTS for entertainment portals featuring music, films, and sports. T-Online Business combines the ASP platform with a security package for the development and operation of a traffic-intensive and complex Internet offering; an ASP model is also available.
CoreMedia's software will provide content management services for GMX' portal. Additionally, the company will employ further CoreMedia modules and services for the German Internet portal GMX. In the near future, CoreMedia's technology will be used for all GMX portals as well as for the GMX corporate Web site. Integrated into GMX processes, Smart Content Technology will administer both media asset management and multi-channel delivery of editorial content on various portals. Additionally, user profile based personalized offers will be implemented with CoreMedia technology.
