Nov 10, 2006

Composite Software, Inc. has released its newest Composite Application Data Services for SAP Business Information Warehouse (BW). This application is designed to allow customers to bring forward historical information from SAP BW and other existing systems into a service-oriented environment. These reusable services, which leverage Composite's Enterprise Information Integration (EII) technology, can help enterprises simplify access to complex packaged applications, and thereby accelerate dashboard, single-view, ad-hoc reporting, and service-oriented architecture (SOA) projects. Composite Application Data Services for SAP BW can allow more users to access SAP BW data. Additionally, SAP BW data can be combined with data from disparate sources and delivered as reusable data services to enable users to build operational reports and other information applications. Composite Application Data Services for SAP BW access data with Business Application Programming Interfaces (BAPIs) using SQL.

Features include: service-enabled SAP BW where enterprises can publish views into SAP BW as SOA data services which includes automated WSDL generation; no MDX access SAP BW with SQL-92 syntax; InfoAreas and InfoObjects, where access BW InfoProviders, Query Cubes, and Hierarchies; Non-invasive Access, which does not require transports to install, and there is no reconfiguration necessary; Data Integrity, which enforces defined user authentication and visibility rules. All access points are SAP-sanctioned Application Programming Interfaces (APIs); time-dependent queries where users can view historical snapshots of data from any point in time; and flexible queries. Composite Application Data Services for SAP BW are available immediately from Composite Software. Pricing is based on required processing power and size of deployment.
