Cladonia Limited has announced the immediate availability of Exchanger XML Editor. Among the major enhancements in V3.1 are Grid-based editing, XSLT 2.0 Debugging using Saxon 8.4, improved User Interface with new icons and a new library of video demonstrations and PDF documentation. In addition to the new features such as Grid-based editing, XSLT 2.0 Debugging using Saxon 8.4, XML Schema Instance Generation and simplified XSLT transformations, the Exchanger XML Editor also includes Multiple Document Interface, XDiff and Merge, and XML Signature. The Exchanger XML Editor also provides support for a broad range of XML-related standards including XML Schema, RelaxNG, XPath, XQuery, SVG, etc.
The primary focus of this release is a Grid view, which is intended to provide a means for viewing and editing XML while shielding the user from the complexities of the actual mark-up. While the Grid is intended to handle structured data, such as purchase orders or medical records, it can also support documents that contain mixed content.
The Exchanger XSLT Debugger now handles XSLT 2.0 Debugging using Saxon 8.4. The Exchanger XSLT Debugger can be run in standalone mode as well as integrated with the Editor, thereby facilitating the debugging of much larger input documents, which do not have to be opened in the Editor. XSLT Transformations have been simplified through the use of redesigned Input dialogs for both the XML Input and XSL Input. Users may now choose between the current open document, choosing a different document, or choosing a document from a URL. JGoodies Look and Feel have been included with this release of the Exchanger XML Editor designed to give the user more choice when assigning a look and feel. Exchanger XML Editor V3.1 and Exchanger XSLT Debugger are available immediately.
