RedDot Solutions, a provider of enterprise content management solutions, has announced that the City of Fairfield, California, has selected the RedDot Content Management Server (CMS) to manage and maintain content for their Web site. RedDot's CMS will enable employees to manage, maintain, and publish content, and serve as a foundation to drive the City's egovernment initiatives as well. Currently, the City of Fairfield uses a manual system to manage content on the Web site. Changes to the site are requested, coded, tested, approved, and posted to the "live" site manually. Upon implementing RedDot CMS the City's Web team will be able to build "fill in the blanks" templates for department use, streamline workflow, and increasing efficiency that will leave skilled IT staff for more complex tasks and other business initiatives. RedDot was selected for its out-of-the-box functionality that did not require any additional software installations, and because features such as full deletion of expired content are offered.
