Interactive Video Technologies (IVT), an ecommunications software company, has announced an agreement with Cisco Systems to provide its flagship enterprise software solution, MediaPlatform, as the content authoring and management backbone for the Cisco Enterprise Video on Demand (VOD) Solution - a part of Cisco's Full Services for Branch and Small Offices. The Cisco Enterprise VOD Solution is designed to allow companies to more effectively communicate with their constituents for the purposes of training, executive communications, customer briefings, investor relations, new product or service launches, and organizational readiness. The solution will be marketed and sold by both Cisco and IVT.

The new Cisco Enterprise VOD Solution includes four major components: Content Authoring and Management, Video and Audio Studio, Web Portal, and NetworkDelivery, based on Cisco's Application and Content Networking System. IVT's MediaPlatform integrates authoring and management capabilities into one solution for creating and deploying video content via Cisco's Application and Content Networking System (ACNS) technology, which provides the infrastructure for live and on-demand video delivery, in addition to content security and Web application optimization services.

Some of the features of MediaPlatform include a wizard-driven, Web-based interface for video and audio capture, synchronization with PowerPoint slides, polling, question and answers, usage reports, file asset management, and customizable template creation engine for presentations. The interactive presentations can be deployed to an unlimited number of viewers for the purposes of training, executive communications, customer briefings, investor relations, product launches, and organizational readiness.
