CipherOptics announced a company-ide rebranding initiative with a new name and logo. The company also outlined its strategy for support of secure cloud connectivity, along with a data security plan for customers migrating from distributed networking to private clouds and public cloud infrastructures.
Henceforth known as Certes Networks, the company plans to providing a secure LAN extension from the data center to both public and private cloud infrastructures. The extension will be built on its CipherEngine group encryption and will support secure connectivity to the cloud with a virtual appliance that can secure data among virtual machines in the cloud. The solution will also enable a secure and transparent LAN extension to applications, databases, and services in the data center.
The company also announced the relocation of its headquarters to Pittsburgh, PA. The former headquarters location in Raleigh, NC will remain open, supporting engineering, operations, and marketing functions.
