China Directory Publishing (CDP) LLC, a developer and provider of information resources for small-to-medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in China to conduct and reinforce global business efforts, and Houghton Mifflin Company, a U.S.-based educational publisher have announced the launch of www.103.net, a dictionary resource for the People's Republic of China.
Through a cooperation agreement with the China Center for Business Coordination and Cooperation (CCBCC), CDP has embarked on a number of initiatives intended to enhance the small business environment in China. In order to clear the language barrier and promote mutual communication between business people from both China and the United States, CDP worked with Houghton Mifflin Company to develop a solution for the millions of people in China that are learning and using the English language for both their personal and professional endeavors.
Under the DictionaryToday brand, CDP and Houghton Mifflin Company have launched the official dictionary for the People's Republic of China, located at www.103.net, which allows users to utilize key word searches for dictionary definitions, thesaurus options and other resources. The new service accesses content from more than a dozen electronic reference titles, including The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, The American Heritage Dictionary of Idioms, The American Heritage Science Dictionary, The American Heritage Stedman's Medical Dictionary, The New Dictionary of Cultural Literacy, and Roget's II: The New Thesaurus, through a licensing agreement with Houghton Mifflin Company.
