Cengage Introduces National Geographic Learning Brand

Cengage Learning completed its acquisition of the National Geographic Society's (NGS) digital and print school publishing unit, creating a new Cengage brand called National Geographic Learning. Cengage acquired extended rights to distribute NGS images, maps, videos, articles, and other content. The National Geographic Science Series, National Geographic Explorer! magazines, and Hampton Brown's literacy and language programs are now assimilated into Cengage's English Language Learning business.

The National Geographic Learning brand unified the Cengage Learning ELT and National Geographic School Publishing imprints. Cengage and National Geographic have been collaborating partners since 2007. Financial terms were not disclosed.
