Canto Launches Cumulus 6 for Enterprise

Apr 23, 2004

Canto, a provider of digital asset management (DAM) solutions, has announced the immediate availability of Cumulus 6 for Enterprise. Cumulus 6 Enterprise is designed to simplify the users' daily task of managing assets due to its server-centric nature and, with the EJaP (Embedded Java Plug-In) technology, it can be customized to meet the business needs of global enterprises. It also offers an inter-changeable choice of English, French, Japanese, or German user interfaces.

Cumulus 6 Enterprise allows users to switch between different views with pre-configured View Sets and display the information they find relevant regarding format or task. Cumulus 6 also offers Asset Handling Sets for optimized handling of different formats. These pre-configured sets can be edited and provided centrally by the administrator. Under both Mac OS X and Windows Cumulus now features a toolbar with functions such as Quicksearch. The toolbar's layout has been adapted to that of Canto's Internet solutions. Cumulus 6 for Enterprise also features the Palette Mode, and printing of records, categories, and previews (based on the selected View Set). There are also new options in Preferences and in User settings for the Print, Search, and Display functions. In the Display panel, the settings can now enable the image displayed to be limited to its original size.

The basic Enterprise package comes with Server software and 20 clients. Cumulus 6 for Enterprise is available immediately from Canto Certified System Integrators and Canto sales offices. Server versions are available for Mac OS X, Windows, Linux and Solaris, Clients for Mac OS X and Windows.
