BEST PRACTICES SERIES

Cambridge University Press has announced that more than 200 Cambridge Companions, a resource for students, are online as fully-searchable PDFs. The Companions are the first product to be launched on the new Cambridge Collections Online platform developed by online publishing solutions provider Semantico. While the Companions have been brought online as searchable PDFs, future content can be added in any other format and still made subject to the same, enterprise-wide access management system. The Semantico Information Publishing Platform (SIPP) was chosen for the project--a suite of web services for building and managing online content with built-in functionality so that product sites can be built.
