Cambridge University Press announced the launch of new open access journals in Mathematics called Pi and Forum of Mathematics. Cambridge says the two journals will be published with peer-review standards set by an international editorial board of a very high caliber.
For the first three years, Cambridge will waive publishing charges. The company believes the open access feature will allow the two journals to compete in the internet era. The journals will be hosted on Cambridge Journal Online and content will be available online beginning in 2013.
