Online media company Burst Media introduced 12 internet video channels that offer TV-style programming to its independent publishers. Spanning food, travel, fashion, parenting, and how-to, the video programming can be integrated into publishers' websites to enhance their existing content. Burst Media is a wholly-owned subsidiary of blinkx, PLC, and the video content comes from blinkx's direct play partners such as Reuters, CelebTV, GeoBeats, and TVGuide.
Advertisers can use the new channels to connect with audiences using dynamic content customized for each target community. The video can be incorporated on a site with a copied and pasted code. According to the company, sites using Burst have a combined total of 150 million uniques and 35 billion page views per month.
