Barnes & Noble’s Nook Gets Map Feature

Jul 30, 2012

Barnes & Noble announced that the company's popular e-reader, Nook, will have a map feature available to be downloaded on the Nook app store. But instead of going with Google Maps, the company has decided to partner up with German company, skobbler, and the company's ForeverMap 2, according to paidContent.

With this app, Barnes & Noble beat Amazon in a race to give e-reader users the map feature, as there is no map feature for Kindle just yet. Users can download ForeverMap to Nook Color and regular Nook Tablets. A basic version is free while a premium version, which can be used offline is available for $4.99. The app is available now.
