Baker & Taylor, a distributor of books, AV, and library services, and OCLC NetLibrary, a provider of eContent services to the institutional library market, have announced an agreement to combine their strengths to facilitate delivery of a broader range of eContent to the library market. This agreement is intended to result in a significant increase for customers in the scope of eContent delivered within already established programs and workflows. Baker & Taylor and NetLibrary will expand on the electronic distribution relationship established in 2001. The processes already in place from that earlier working partnership is expected to enable the two companies to launch this new alliance with minimal transition requirements.

Baker & Taylor, Inc. is an information and entertainment services company that offers books, videos, music, games, and services to libraries, educational institutions, and retailers. Baker & Taylor is majority owned by Willis Stein & Partners, a private equity investment firm.
