Bacon's Information Acquires MediaMap

Bacon's has acquired MediaMap, bringing together two providers of media intelligence and communications management solutions to PR agencies and corporate communications professionals. The companies intend to offer customers a broader array of service options, ranging from access to Bacon's MediaSource line of services to MediaMap's Performa communications management solutions. They will continue to offer both the MediaSource and MediaMap solutions to all existing and future clients and they plan to continue to provide, support, and enhance both MediaMap and MediaSource solutions in the future. MediaMap clients will continue to receive support for their current software solutions and will work with the same MediaMap employees. Customers will have immediate access to Bacon's lines of services including media monitoring of print, broadcast, and Internet, media distribution services, media evaluation services, and media directories. This acquisition is expected to extend and enhance Bacon's line of services. The MediaMap product suite provides media research for those companies needing more detailed information in the business, consumer, high tech, and medical fields. Additionally, the MediaMap suite provides access to Factiva content and Cymfony analytics.
