BURST! Media, a provider of Internet advertising services, has begun to sell advertising on more than 20 blogs in its 2,000+ site network. BURST! created a new subchannel to facilitate advertisers targeting blogs in the future. Among the first advertisers to launch campaigns on BURST-repped blogs is Kyocera Wireless, which starts running this week on Screenhead, Gizmodo, and Defamer.
The Kyocera Wireless campaign, created by Media Revolution (Culver City CA), is running expandable leaderboards primarily on Gawker Media blogs. The leaderboards promote the advergame "Red Carpet Blitz" which features Kyocera Wireless Corp's new wireless camera phone, the Koi/KX2. The purpose of the game is to demonstrate the features of the phone, which includes a 1.2 megapixel camera, flash, video, and zoom. The game is designed to demonstrate uses for the Koi/KX2 camera phone, as well as allow consumers to learn more about the phone.
