Avere Systems, a startup company that focuses on producing multiple storage media, has secured $15 million in Series A funding from Menlo Ventures and Norwest Venture Partners. Avere's founders were members of the team that created Spinnaker Networks, a grid storage company that was bought by NetApp, Inc., for $300 million in 2004.
Avere will be unveiling its first set of products in the fall.
