AskMe Corporation, a provider of enterprise software and services for deploying Employee Knowledge Networks (EKNs), has announced the acquisition of privately-held software company CompanyWay, a knowledge management software provider. This acquisition builds upon AskMe's increased strategic focus on delivering results through knowledge sharing in research and development (R&D) functions within Global 2000 organizations.

AskMe's flagship product, AskMe Enterprise, is designed to reduce time to market by resolving issues faster, enhance innovation by connecting researchers across business units, and reduce costs associated with rework, reinvention, and repeat mistakes.  CompanyWay has been evangelizing similar concepts targeted at R&D organizations with an emphasis on large-scale discussions or "swarm collaboration."  Along with the acquisition of CompanyWay's assets, AskMe is also maintaining the relationships with the CompanyWay customer base. AskMe and CompanyWay completed the acquisition this week.
