Asbru Software has announced that it has expanded the e-commerce capabilities of its content management solution in version 6.2. New version 6.2 adds flexible product templates, digital product delivery, subscription management, and an improved architecture for integration of custom payment processing.
The Asbru Web Content Management system already provides merchants with a search engine optimized ecommerce solution with store design control, product catalogue management, and shopping cart. In the latest release 6.2 Asbru Software has added support for products and payment service providers, more flexibility for web designers, and improvements for non-technical users. Product templates to suit each product category can be created. The implementation of product templates in the new version of Asbru Web Content Management provides website managers with complete control and flexibility over the layout of product pages. Product descriptions, photos, links, other media and custom product data can be added anywhere on a product page by placing special product attribute tags in a standard HTML/XHTML product template document. When non-technical users add new products they will automatically appear on the website and when selected they will be displayed in the product templates.
Further additions to this version include digital delivery of products, subscription handling, and product options. Products such as ebooks, audio files, and images can be sold and automatically delivered through the system. The entire workflow of subscriptions including automated email notifications to customers are also handled in the new version. Version 6.2 also includes a new payment processing module architecture. With the new architecture, payment-processing modules for other third-party payment service providers can be added.
